Jörg Breuning has been specializing in green roofs since his first apprenticeship with a landscaping firm in Stuttgart in 1980 - 30 years ago. Thereafter, he worked as a project manager and green roof company owner on all aspects of green roof installations in Germany, UK and USA from design to commissioning.

In the U.S., Jörg's company Green Roof Service LLC has supported the design and installation of most early green roof projects, including Chicago City Hall, Swarthmore College (PA), Carnegie Mellon University, and the County Building in Bronx (NY).

Long before Green Roof Safari started out Jörg hosted study tours about modern green roof technology for most of the early players in the U.S. To name few: David Beattie, Robert Hermann, Charlie Miller, Ford Motor Cor., Alcoa, Ed Snodgrass, Robert Berghage and many more. Jörg probably installed more green roofs than anybody else in the Northern America.
